Who Will Be the Next International Mega
Superstar of Cartooning?
Inspired by such national talent competitions as "American Idol" and "Who's the Biggest Drunk in
Scotland?", Mr Carlos Montage (the World's Greatest Cartoonist) has set out to discover America's hottest unsigned artistic talent, and to showcase their work in a series of collaborative jams with the master.
Described as the "Rising Stars" project, the comics page offer a unique creative forum for the homeless, in addition to providing "America's Numero Uno Comic®" with a new attention-getting gimmick.
The "Rising Stars" project was conceived and personally executed by Mr Montage. Blessed with an over abundance of talent that goes beyond all existing definitions of genius, Mr Montage sees the project as a way
of "giving back a little" by inspiring others to reach for greatness.
"Have I discovered the next Jim Davis (Garfield) or Tom Tomorrow (This Modern World)? Very possibly, although I haven't seen anything yet that rivals what I do," notes Mr Montage.
"Many of these people are complete naturals! Being a published cartoonist is classier than begging, even though the pay is about the same. Still, it is one of the few career options that encourages stream of consciousness thinking, permits heavy drinking, and allows for the pestering of strangers," concludes
Mr Montage.
